Last week the world was introduced to ‘scUber’, a truly unique partnership between Uber and Tourism and Events Queensland giving riders the opportunity to explore the Great Barrier Reef in the world’s first rideshare submarine.
East Coast Maritime utility vessel ‘Pacific Conquest’ was selected by our Client, Aquatica Submarines, to provide submarine support services for the duration of the launch expedition. She will be transporting and supporting the scUber affectionately named ‘Barry’ to Heron Island and Agincourt Reef, before returning to East Coast Maritime’s home port in Gladstone.
